The Web Audio Minimoog is an experiment that aims to replicate the actual Minimoog Synthesizer using
only the native elements of the Web Audio API. This includes the 3 independent oscillators, a low-pass
filter, the filter and amplitude envelopes, filter and frequency modulation from oscillator 3, and
experimental support for key control. It's not perfect, but it showcases some of what's possible.
How to Play this Minimoog
You can use your computer keyboard to play the synth! The letter keys in the upper row (WETYU)
map to the black piano keys. The letter keys in the center row (ASDFGHJK) map to the white keys. To
change the knob parameters, just click and drag anywhere on the knob face. To reset a knob back to
its original value, hold COMMAND+SHIFT and click anywhere on the knob.
Given infinite time, resources, and patience, this synth would ultimately have: 1) beautifully rich
oscillators with a deep low end, 2) a better filter that could gracefully handle key control + self-oscillation,
and 3) a proper user interface with either a replica front panel, or a novel design optimized for the web. If
